  Suffolk dual meet champion and defending tournament champion Rocky Point won the League VI Tournament. The Eagles were paced by the Sciotto brothers; sophomore Logan (42-3) and state bronze medalist Anthony Sciotto (48-1), both posted falls in the finlas. Veteran head coach Darren Goldstein, now in his 13th year at the helm, also had three other league winners: Kris Ketchum (35-8), Ryan Callahan (41-9) and Suffolk's top-ranked Corey Connelly (45-4) at 152. Host John Glenn had a pair of unbeatens: Nick Blanton (39-0) at 170 and state placer Joe Franzese (14-0), both won their weight classes. The state-ranked  and OSW winner Franzese defeated previously unbeaten Liam McIntyre (32-1), 2-0, in the marquee match-up of the finals at 182, younger brother Gavin McIntyre (29-6) won the 99-pound title. Sayville had a nice showing and finished in third place, the Golden Flashes were paced by champions: Joe LoPresti (32-6) and tough Nathan Bauland (35-1) at 195 pounds. Islip claimed three gold medals: Francis Whitehouse (32-4), Sean Patterson (32-7) and freshman Jack Spahn (37-2) at 145. State finalist and gridiron star Deonte Wilson (23-0) is currently top-ranked in the state and clamped his opponent in the first period and cruised to the 285-pound championship.

Jake Pohl of Rocky Point finished second at 220 pounds.

ROCKY POINT WINS LEAGUE 6 TOURNAMENT OVER JOHN GLENN

Sayville's Nate Bauland works for a takedown on Miller Place's Matt McNulty. Bauland won this semifinal bout 13-4 and won the195 pound crown.

Patrick Giambruno from John Glenn works for an escape at 145 pounds.

Sayville's Joe Lopresti works for a near fall. LoPresti secured the fall and won the 160 pound crown.

Glenn's Christian Holder battles for a takedown on Westhampton's Lucas Villereale. Holder won the 220 pound title.

Rocky Point's Corey Connolly is on the attack as he works for his takedown. The #1 ranked Connolly won the 152 pound League 6 title and paced his team to win with 226.5 points over runnerup Glenn (205 pts.)
